ABOUT THE ARTIST

My name is Vesper Kay, and I am an aspiring animator who enjoys working on character design and storyboarding. I am a college student at California State University-Northridge, pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Animation. I am set to graduate in May 2026.

I have been a fan of animation since I was a little girl. I would always watch cartoons on Cartoon Network, and I enjoy watching Indie Animation on YouTube and getting to see so many creative projects. Indie animation is what inspires me to become an animator in hopes that I can one day create a show of my own.

Over the years, I have worked to improve my skills in animation and have continued to consume media that could help me grow as an artist. I have come a long way since I first started creating art, and I continue to learn new ways to make my art better. With each new program I learn, and with every project I finish, I get closer to my goal to create my own show.

Currently, I am working on 2 projects: Nine Lives and Selfish, with work from the latter coming soon. Both are independent projects. I have been working on Nine Lives for almost a year, and have been working on Selfish for a few months. I am also going to be directing my own short film with a studio I helped create, and production for the short will begin in May.
